I think it's worth it to go to DC to see the Kusama exhibit! It's interesting because it reminds me of Meow Wolf and other interactive art experiences there are now, but she was the original. And as for The Idiot, as I read it I thought about how much I loved it but also how I could see it not being for everyone. I just think Batuman is hysterical.
