Appreciated this short Tumbleweed story of a truly lived motherhood experience, the more poignant now with your daughter's graduating high school. Wish someone had structured in a "no quit" rule for me when I was a kid; self-management -- with writing discipline a great example -- remains a challenge. ~~ rm
Thank you, Ruth. And it's not just you--I observe this in many other adults who never had a parent or parental figure teach them how to stick to something, at least for a little bit. It's easier to learn when you're a kid, but not impossible at any time of life. For me, my dad made me practice Tae Kwon Do from when I was 9 to when I was 14--and I think that gave me this insight, and inspired my intermittent abilities to make myself stick to a task!
